little ladies

Constitution Day is celebrated with parades, games, loads of ice cream and you get to wear your best dress. But I think the high point of Nene's day was on the way home when her big cousin (dressed in the bunad from yesterdays entry btw) found a ladybug...

Hi Marie
Do hope you all enjoyed Constitution Day. The weather in the photo looked beautiful as did the little girls.

It's funny, but I didn't realize from yesterday's pictures that the bunad was so small! :-)

I tried to leave a comment for your gorgeous new shawl, but somehow, I couldn't. In any case, your shawl is totally fabulous! Fabulous! Brava, Marie!

Thank you Marie for your comment on my shrug. You are right it is a useful item, especially for Spring/Summer, I definitely need more of these.

Those pictures are ever so sweet! That bunad is really beautiful - isn't it from Hallingdal?

I love your photos and the costume details. We call lady bugs "ladybirds" in Australia - I don't know why. Marie, I have tagged you for a meme - see http://flea-bites.blogspot.com/ If you would rather I'll remove your name - I hope you will do it, though.
