Øvre Holmegate used to be a particularly grey and dreary street. Until one of the tenants had an idea. It took four years to get all the landlords, and the municipality, to agree, but this is what it looks like today. A colour palette for the entire street was made by artist Craig Flannagan.

What a wonderful idea that tennant had!! The street is so charming now! I'm sure it has increased the number of visitors in Ovre Holmegate!
So pretty.
Gorgeous colors!
oh wow! that looks gorgeous. and what an inspired idea.
Now that's a cheery place to be when the skys are grey and there's rain and snow about!
Oh isn't that pretty ; it reminds me a bit of Portmeirion which we live near. Mind its an Italianate style village but they re brightly painredDon't know if you know of it ?
what a lovely idea!!!
Norwegians are amazing people. I can't think of anyone who would work for SEVEN years to get agreement to paint a bunch of buildings. We Americans would give up after seven weeks...
